Slough to Windsor & Eton Central railway bridge
Much of the original railway infrastructure on this line has been swept away through the years, but this little bridge is an interesting survivor. When the line was built in 1849 it had to accommodate the crossing of a public path between Eton and Chalvey. This bridge was built to fulfil that purpose. The original route of the footpath has been lost to the construction of the Jubilee River and the A322 road, but the bridge now provides walkers and cyclists a crossing of the railway along the south side of the Jubilee River. National Cycle Network Route 61 passes through this bridge.
