NT3653 : Ruined dyke

taken 12 years ago, 3 km from Heriot, Scottish Borders, Great Britain

Ruined dyke.
Ruined dyke.
A crooked line of stones showing the highpoint of improved farmland at 385m. Beyond to the north a hunt meet is gathering. Its "vermin control" now, called in by the farmers to keep the hill foxes down before lambing, and its legal! Scotland has bigger loopholes.
