An afternoon’s autumnal stroll near Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire.

This road used to be the main drive to Hardwick Hall. The Hall is roughly 0.5km behind the viewpoint and the photograph is looking northeast towards the gatehouse (not visible) and hence on toward the villages of Ault Hucknall, Rowthorne and Glapwell.

A few metres southeast of this viewpoint there is this SK4664 : View Over Parkland.

The walk continues in a north-easterly (ahead) direction along the original main drive.
