Milestone, A435 near Bagendon
The milestone is different from others I've seen in that the directions are on a cast metal plate rather than carved into the stone itself. Possibly the original inscription became unreadable and so was replaced by the plate. To judge from the typeface this would have been done some time ago, certainly 'pre-Worboys'.
