Jacob sheep at Moor Hall Farm
They graze the grassy strip beside the driveway. Jacob sheep are a primitive breed with a spotted fleece. Both sexes have horns and the rams can have from four to six horns. The breed is said to date back to biblical times when the Jewish patriarch, Jacob, asked his father-in-law, Laban for all the streaked and spotted sheep. (Genesis 30:25-43.)
