TQ7314 : Coppicing at Powdermill Wood
near to Catsfield, East Sussex County, Great Britain

Coppicing at Powdermill Wood
Chestnut coppice felled over the previous wintern being cross-cut and selected for fencing posts. Coppicing allows light to reach the woodland floor every 15 years or so, and bluebells thrive under such conditions.
