View of Keppel Cove
View of Keppel Cove
Viewed from Birkhouse Moor. The fell on the left is Catsye Cam. Behind the disused dam Brown Cove splits off to the left. Keppel Cove dam burst in 1927 causing devastation down in Glenridding. It was originally an earth dam and was rebuilt in concrete. This again burst in 1931 but causing less damage.
