Boathouses on Hickling Broad
On this cold day in early February the Broad is covered with a sheet of ice. A public footpath leads past here. Hickling Broad is the largest of the Norfolk Broads. It is in the care of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust and home to a great variety of plants and animals such as swallowtail butterflies, bitterns, marsh harriers and other rare wildlife.
