Aberdeen Grammar School, with Byron Statue.
Aberdeen Grammar School, with Byron Statue.
Lord Byron was born George Gordon. The famous fifth Lord Byron was born in London but his mother took him back to Aberdeen as a baby, and he lived there until he inherited, aged 10, the title from his great uncle.
The school suffered a bad fire since this photograph but the damage to roof and tower has been made good.
