An attempt to visit Glenmore to ski in the forest was thwarted by a several mile long queue waiting for the road up to Cairngorm to open. The endless line of downhillers had completely blocked the road, and with no available parking between here and Aviemore, I headed elsewhere.
This is the infamous paradox of Scottish skiing - as was heard at the time "Years of no snow, and when we get some we cannot get there".
