Bow Bridge Langport Somerset
Bow Bridge Langport Somerset
Bow Bridge, this version was built in 1840
The previous bridge had 9 arches and therefore when the barges from Bridgwater arrived at Langport wharf the cargo had to be unloaded, carried under the arches and put onto smaller barges which could go down them into town.
