Scratch Marks, St Dunstan's Church, Mayfield
Following the Black Death there was a law requiring men of military age to practice archery on a Sunday afternoon. Many church across the country show evidence of this law in scratch marks on the church where the archers sharpened their arrows. These are on the south wall of St Dunstan's Church.
