Working Men's College, Crowndale Road
This is Europe's oldest surviving institute for adult education. Founded in 1854 it was a college for men in Red Lion Square. This listed building became home to the Working Men's College in 1905. A college for women was started in 1864. In 1967 the women's college joined the men's to form one institution.
