NT5745 : Unfeasibly muddy road, Boon

taken 13 years ago, near to Whiteburn, Scottish Borders, Great Britain

Unfeasibly muddy road, Boon.
Unfeasibly muddy road, Boon.
Brown roads usually mean a B road on the map. This is a real brown road, one of the muddiest council-maintained roads I have ever encountered. Looking south to Old Boon.
This was taken just before five in the afternoon, days are lengthening fast now. It was not long ago when we had to pack in at three.
