Church of St Mary the Virgin Bruton
A 12th century church with some restoration and two towers - the larger a fine Somerset tower of 104 feet high. The stone used is Doulting Stone probably from the quarry at Doulting near Shepton Mallet. Both Charles I and II worshipped here when they were staying in Bruton.
