Monastic Fishpond
Monastic Fishpond
Ice covered fishpond on Kitchen Bank close to the bridleway. Although there are no fish in the pond any more, this was once one of the primary trout ponds that supplied the monks of Fountains with fresh fish. There are four more ponds along this bank in various states of decay.
