Trough, dry stone wall and copse
Trough, dry stone wall and copse
Greenwood Farm, near Hathersage. The circular wall support consists of unfinished gritstone grinding wheels. The farmer who still lives at Greenwood Farm told us today (4 June 2015)that he built the wall in 1964 and incorporated the gritstones to help stop the cattle rubbing on the wall and knocking it down.
