NN0066 : The Great Glen from Beinn na Cille

The Great Glen from Beinn na Cille
The Great Glen from Beinn na Cille
Photograph taken in 1964 on the first mountain that I climbed. Loch Linnhe at the foot of Beinn na Cille (my record showed Ben Keil - presumably after Keil farm at NN009650) continues past Ben Nevis up to Fort William, visible in the middle distance. The Great Glen then follows a major geological fault line that is believed to continue as far as Shetland, where it is named the Walls Boundary Fault
