SN1438 : Former ?chapel, Eglwyswrw

taken 10 years ago, near to Eglwyswrw, Pembrokeshire/Sir Benfro, Great Britain

Former ?chapel, Eglwyswrw
Former ?chapel, Eglwyswrw
Behind the old Serjeants' Inn, but barely visible from the road, this slightly forbidding, four-square building lurks under a huge yew tree. Little seems to be recorded of its history but it was marked on the 1838 Tithe Map as a meeting house, and in 1891 as a school. Subsequently it has been a church hall and a Young Farmers' Club but now it appears to be a domestic residence.
