SH7877 : Derrick below Conwy castle

taken 10 years ago, near to Gyffin, Conwy, Great Britain

Derrick below Conwy castle
Derrick below Conwy castle
This old derrick stands below the castle walls and close to the main North Wales railway line. In the past there used to be railway sidings running past the derrick. The wooden arm carries a plate restricting the load to 5 tons, but looking at the state of the wood I don't think it would lift that weight today.
