Pounds Marine services, Tipner
Well known scrapyard next to the M275.
The foreground hulk is the remains of an 1883 experimental gunboat built by Sir W G Armstrong, Mitchell & Co and known by a variety of names HMS Handy, Snapper, Calcutta and latterly Demon. She was last used as a floating crane. The engine has since been removed by Pounds for alleged preservation and the hull was cut up in May 2009 according to various sources. Another historic ship is lost.
