It's a crazy old world. We are not allowed to have a nationialised energy industry in the UK, but one of our most efficient power stations (and presumably one of the most profitable) is now owned by a limited company which is in turn owned by the Norwegian State. Statkraft gained ownership of the Rheidol Hydro-electric scheme from E.on in some sort of swap deal. More details here: Link
