This was built as the Royal Salop Infirmary in 1826-30. It is ashlar-faced, in Greek Revival style. The grand central entrance has massive paired fluted Doric columns to a pedimented portico with a triglyph frieze. An inscription reads: "Salop Infirmary established 1745. Supported by voluntary subscriptions and donations. Rebuilt 1830. E. Haycock Architect". For a photo of the whole fašade see LinkExternal link
