The Lune Aqueduct, Lancaster Canal
The Lune Aqueduct is probably the most out-standing feature of the Lancaster Canal. Designed by John Rennie, it is often claimed to be his best work. It was constructed between 1794 and 1797. It is 62 feet above the River Lune.
