Kirkcaldy Town House, Kirkcaldy
Kirkcaldy Town House, Kirkcaldy
This is Kirkcaldy's Scandinavian influenced Town House in town square. In the mid-1930s, a decision was made to build a new town house for Kirkcaldy. Work had only began on the foundations in 1937 by David Carr when this was interrupted by the outbreak of the Second World War. The building was largely completed between 1953 and 1956. The town house, which makes references to Kirkcaldy's past, was made a Category B listed building in 1988.
