SD7077 : Ancient meanders

taken 13 years ago, 4 km from Chapel-le-Dale, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Ancient meanders.
Ancient meanders.
Patterns caused by the ever changing route of the River Twiss in Kingsdale near Braida Garth. The river is now tamed at this point, running parallel to the road, probably for agricultural reasons.
