The Strode memorial - St Mary's Beaminster
In memory of George Strode of Parnham and his wife Catherine who was the daughter and coheiress of Richard Brodrepp late of Maperton. George died in 1753 and his wife in 1746. Please see ST4700 : Parnham House.
The memorial was sculpted by a Flemish sculptor by the name of Peter Scheemakers (1691-1781) who is most noted for his sculpture of William Shakespeare in Westminster Abbey.
