ST4701 : Who was Gershom Levieux?

taken 10 years ago, near to Beaminster, Dorset, Great Britain

Who was Gershom Levieux?
Who was Gershom Levieux?
This simple memorial is in St Mary's Church Beaminster. No one seems to know who this man was. Was he a Huguenot cloth weaver whose family arrived in the town at the end of the 17C? His father Theodore was a French refugee who was also apparently buried there in 1744.
