Waterfall on the Caldons Burn
Waterfall on the Caldons Burn
The Caldons Burn tumbles off the side of Lamachan Hill and by way of a wooded glen and a number of pretty waterfalls, finds its way to the Water of Trool near the western end of Loch Trool. The name 'Caldons' is from the Gaelic for the hazel bush - 'calltuinn'.
