TL1849 : Hassells Lodge

near to Sandy, Bedfordshire, Great Britain

Hassells Lodge.
Hassells Lodge.
Locally this is known as Crimean Cottage. This is because prefabricated huts of this nature were used by the British Army during the Crimean war. it would appear that this one was brought in by rail to nearby Sandy railwaystation before being carted up the hill to this spot. There is also a small shed which has a thatched roof as well.
