SU1194 : Bed of Thames & Severn Canal at Eysey

taken 15 years ago, near to Cricklade, Wiltshire, England

Bed of Thames & Severn Canal at Eysey
Bed of Thames & Severn Canal at Eysey
The canal bed is largely intact from Cricklade to Eysey, however near Eysey Manor an aqueduct which used to carry it over a stream had been removed. Here, in the bushes, the cross section of the canal bed can just be made out where the excavation of the aqueduct has taken place.
