TF0498 : Mill Lock

taken 10 years ago, near to South Kelsey, Lincolnshire, Great Britain

Mill Lock
Mill Lock
Mill lock on the former Caistor Canal, so named as there used to be a corn mill just to the North of the lock (now demolished). When the canal was decommissioned in the 1930s the lock gates were replaced with permanent weirs to maintain water levels. The bridge and beyond is not in this gridsquare.
