Fence, Brotherswater
Catching the last of the winter sun. Brotherswater is named after two brothers who drowned in there on New Year's Day 1812 whilst skating on the frozen lake.
Before that the lake was known as Broad Water. 'Water' of course comes from 'vatn' a Norse word for lake.
