SX6769 : Lone hawthorn

taken 10 years ago, 3 km from Scorriton, Devon, Great Britain

Lone hawthorn
Lone hawthorn
This seems to be the only tree in the square, judging by its popularity; this is the fourth photo of it taken in 10 weeks to be submitted. As explained in SX6769 : Sandy Way descending from Holne Ridge and SX6769 : Head of the workings, it is at the head of a gully associated with the Ringleshutes tin mine. Some details are given at LinkExternal link .
