Ruins of St. Adamnan's Chapel
St. Adamnan (c.628-704) a follower of St. Columba was appointed Abbot of Iona in 679 and is best known as biographer of Columba. Said to have been born in Ireland, like Columba, he travelled extensively for the times and is known to have visited Holy Island. Although this ruin is of a later date he is said to have founded a 'cell' here.
