SE0523 : Ramp down to the River Calder, Sowerby Bridge

Ramp down to the River Calder, Sowerby Bridge
Ramp down to the River Calder, Sowerby Bridge
On the left, there is a walled ramp down to the river, perhaps for cattle. A ford is unlikely as the buildings of Hollins Mill lined the other bank. An island has formed where silt has collected around storm debris. Trees are growing on the right of the island, but might not have started growing there!
