New Drainage Channel, Lime Grove, Long Eaton
Lime Grove, Lime Terrace and the King Street entrance to West Park are currently undergoing restoration work. The funding has been provided by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and is part of a medium term plan for restoration work around the whole of the Long Eaton Lace Mills conservation area.

The work was due to finish in the middle of February, but is continuing into March, with the road resurfacing put off into the summer. This granite-block drainage channel is part of the reason for that. It had been assumed that it just needed to be uncovered, but it has had to be completely relayed. Here the east side of the road is nearly completed.
