Taken from on board the MV My Queen on this RSPB organised cruise whose main purpose was to see this distinctive wader. This flock of Avocet (Recurvirostra avosetta) are flying above the mudbank known as Greenland, with the houses of Exton behind. The Avocet is the emblem of the RSPB, whose activities over many years have ensured that this beautiful wader both breeds and winters in the UK. Its magnificent !!
