Haddo House: the upper lake
Haddo House: the upper lake
The parkland around Haddo House contains 2 lakes constructed to the design of James Giles. The Upper Lake was formed in 1836 by damming the Burn of Kellie and lies within the Haddo House Country Park which is now managed by Aberdeenshire Council. The Lower or Kellie (north) Lake is still owned and managed by the Haddo estate.
