Building at Carline's Field, Coleham, Shrewsbury
This is a short distance to the south of English Bridge, on the east bank of the river. It looks like a large house, except for the ventilation turret on the top of the roof. Pevsner mentions the remains of an iron foundry in this area, but this building doesn't quite look like that. It was evidently built after 1902, as it is not shown on the 1:2500 map of that date, which shows the name 'Carline's Field'. I have been informed that it is probably a block of apartments for retired people, which was built in the 1980s.
