St Paul's, Holgate Road
In a city with so many wonderful medieval churches, it is disappointing to see several rather drab Victorian ones. Odd that a rather dark sandstone should be used here, when the older churches of York are almost all of local [Tadcaster area] Magnesian limestone. The church dates from 1850 and overlooks the railway lines.
