Kim's Corner
This north east corner of Summer Leys Nature Reserve is an area of species-rich neutral grassland, one of the few remaining in the Nene Valley, which was formerly rich in them. Careful management with hay-growing and grazing encourages growth of a number of rare plants as well as providing habitat for butterflies such as the Common Blue and rare Brown Argus.
Note the bank of clay which has been imported to provide a raised path to enable access round the reserve during periods of high water.
