taken 9 years ago, near to Garway, Herefordshire, Great Britain

Approach to the Holy Well, Garway
Approach to the Holy Well, Garway
From early times there has been a spring here and its existence is the reason the village of Garway came into being, and also the reason the nearby church was built in this position. The spring was the only source of water for the people who lived at this end of the village until 1950.
Through the gap in the stone wall, a footpath leads towards Oaklands Farm.
