Leinster House, Kildare Street, Dublin
This splendid building was built in 1745 for the Duke of Leinster. The architect was Richard Cassels. It was sold in 1814 to the Dublin Society and became their headquarters. In 1924 the building became the home of the Irish Government and the two sections of Parliament (Oireachtas) the Dial and the Seanad meet here.
