Archbishop Conyngham, Kildare Street, Dublin
William Conyngham (4th Baron Plunkett) was born in 1828 and was educated at Cheltenham and Trinity College Dublin. He married Anne Guinness, the daughter of Sir Benjamin Guinness the famous brewer. He became Bishop of Meath and later the Archbishop of Dublin, a position which he held until his death in 1897. The statue stands close to the entrance to Leinster House, the home of the Irish Parliament.
