Grim's Ditch in High Scrubs Wood

Grim's Ditch ran (with breaks) for many miles along this part of the Chilterns. In many places, such as here, it only survives as a pronounced hedge bank and ditch. It is believed to be a late Bronze age boundary marker. Grim is an old name for the devil.
