St. George the Martyr church
St. George the Martyr church
This is a view of the Italianate tower. It was designed by FC Eden FSA FRIBA, an authority on Italian art and architecture, and construction started in 1933, but it was not completed until 1964! The website of this church is here LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link )

The only other church in Britain designed by the same architect is St John's in Harpenden, which I presume is this one TL1413 : St Johns Church
