NZ6101 : Guidepost at Bloworth Crossing

taken 10 years ago, 3 km from Cockayne, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Guidepost at Bloworth Crossing
Guidepost at Bloworth Crossing
A somewhat unstable-looking guidepost, which also appears to have been broken at the top. The 'Moorside' lettering is still clearly visible however, and there is also what looks like a 'CJ' inscription on the west face. An elderly lady who once lived at this remote railway crossing informed me that the original spelling for this location was 'Blowith'.
