Stalagmite wall column in Notts 2 streamway
Formations decorate the walls of the main Streamway in Notts Pot II (reached by the excavated Iron Kiln Hole entrance) on this 2008 Swaledale Outdoor Club trip. The streamway was discovered in 1987 by diving the terminal sump of Notts Pot for 210m at a maximum depth of 9m. Obviously the cave is a considerable depth below the surface and this view is not visible just by going to the grid reference quoted.
