Limestone loner
Limestone loner
For some reason this 3m high pinnacle of limestone, the Lonely Shepherd, was left by the quarrymen of the nineteenth century and appears now as a distinct landmark on the skyline when seen from the valley below. Sadly it has attracted the attention of graffiti artists.
